Yes it is, sweetie.  My hubby has done it many, many times.  It does taste different, from doing it during foreplay.  But it is generally safe.  And he will love you, for doing it.

It sis totally fine to do as foreplay.  It can be done before or even mid way. Do what you are comfortable with and enjoy yourself.  Dont do what you dont want to do.

It would sound dumb (and selfish) to ask that question if you are already engaged in intercourse.
