HAPPEN IN WHAT WAY, DUMBASS?
- Old Man DirtLv 71 month ago
New Amsterdam (earliest name for what is now New York City) was settled in 1624.
The Spanish expedition that first landed in what is now San Francisco did so Nov. 2 1769. It was claimed for "New Spain" and some seven years later the Mission was opened up and some would say the city began.
Now as another person stated you just have to figure out with one is older, 1624 or 1776.

The San Francisco mission was established by the Spanish in 1776.
The city was incorporated in 1850.
Which of those do you imagine was before 1624?
