want to get some trades in order of release, is it better to get Moorcok's  books or The Ruby Throne comic?

Most fans agree that you should read the original 8 published books first and then get into everything published after when you're done. Murdock himself has said that the Ruby Throne improves upon the story that he wrote tho so if you really want to check that out alongside the first book you could.
