    No, it is a history of the Hebrew people and their covenant with God, and the words of the major and minor prophets. It is also  the memoirs and letters of the apostles describing the life and times of Christ, His ministry and his death and resurrection.

    No, it isn't. The Bible is a gift from God. It gives us information that we can’t find anywhere else. For example, it tells us that God created the heavens, the earth, and the first man and woman. It gives us principles that can help us when we have problems. In the Bible, we learn how God will accomplish his purpose to make the earth a better place.

    Only God is to be worshiped.  The worship due to God and only to God is known as latria.  The veneration, as opposed to worship, due to the Virgin Mary as God's greatest creature--though still infinitely less than God--is known as hyperdulia.  The veneration due to the other saints and to the angels is known as dulia.
