if you happen to be at your closest sibling's house and their kid had an appendectomy the other day. While you're at it, would you go up to their kid's closed door to knock and ask them if you can come in to see if they're alright?

Let your child rest..If the door is closed, that means NOT to bother him..let him sleep and recover. I would do the only right thing...CALL FIRST. just don't show up uninvited.
