What is happening to me?

Recently I've been experiencing this thing every once in a while where I'm looking at a person and they eventually start looking foreign/unhuman to me. Their face doesn't even look like a face anymore. It just looks like these things put together and I don't clearly identify what I am looking at as a human. They're just unrecognizable figures to me. This has only happened to me a few times and they were in the course of a week. However, a few months ago I had a similar experience where I woke up in the middle of the night and everything felt and looked foreign to me and when I would focus on an object it would start to float.

That would feel disorienting. Research whether Schizophrenia runs in your family. And avoid all mind and mood altering substances. Best wishes.
