Were the Winnipeg Jets wrong to trade Patrik Laine ?

I see the Jets coaching staff as more of an issue and wanted Paul Maurice to be fired years ago.

Have to say that 2016 first round is looking less than good.  One elite player (Matthews), two very good players (Tkachuk, Sergachev), and you have WPG/CBJ effectively swapping players which I don't get.  I don't know if Maurice is the coach who can get Pierre Luc-Dubois going (his last shift for CBJ was one of the worst things I've ever seen a NHL player do).
