Why has Communism lasted so long?

Question

China, DPRK (North Korea), Laos, Vietnam, Cuba, Eritrea, Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic all are Communist. Perhaps the USA must adapt Communism, Socialism.

China and Vietnam are not poor nations. Read. Wuhan’s economy and society is opening up one year after Covid. China’s economy has grown 2.3% in 2020. Where do some of you people get your news from, Fox News, CNBC or the Corner Bum, Shoe Shine person. Read and get information instead of me feeding you information.

Many, if not most of the countries you listed, are authoritarian police states. Where any sign of dissent, is  vigorously put down.

Capitalism has been around a lot longer, and the list of countries practicing some version of it is a lot longer.  Personally I am less concerned with a country's economic system than with its civil rights.  And frankly, not a single country on your list has anything better than the rights an ex slave had in Georgia in 1875

You can vote your way into communism but you have to shoot your way out of it.

The U.S. already has "socialism" it's however predominantly underwritten by government for their wealthy chums, or those who so generously donate to them! Thereby keeping it in the "family" .

The federal reserve bank is a private entity, it exists to serve its shareholders! Now if it was removed from the equation, it would not be a tragedy for the masses!

Imagine the government not being in charge! Cutting out the middle man!

Then there are tax breaks, to "reward" the wealthy, or tax havens, not needlessly outside America, or off shore.

2008 was the best example of how the rich walked of into the sunset, leaving the dirt poor on the hook! No pitchforks for them!

The biggest tragedy for America was the fall of the USSR, in 1991. American capitalism tanked predictably in 2008. Boom and bust!

As in 1929 the greed got the better of the system!

Whilst USSR existed American capitalism wasn't allowed to tank! It had to be seen to enrich!

All countries espousing neoliberalism such as America and it's "allies" aren't doing too well with a health crisis! 

Imagine vanquished by a mere virus!

There's no will, where there's no exorbitant profits to be milked!

Hence the sales pitch of "herd immunity".

As for the claims under communism there is mass surveillance, it's hard to tell!

Given both Edward Snowdon and Julian Assange are coined enemy! Imagine just for exposing the truth!

Now under the pretext of keeping people safe from "terrorists" more laws are being framed to cull mass protests!

That war on terror started in 2003, but it's just to good at yielding profits, so no winning it as yet in 2021.

Corporate media doesn't do truth! After all they are in bed with power! It's just the illusion they serve the interests of masses!

After all they're not championing Julian Assange! 

In 2003 their silence was deafening!

China adopted a market economy and the others are poor. Communism mostly collapsed in 1989/1991.

They're all poor countries so it's obvious that communism is a failure.
