Questions for any managers?
Say an employee rang in sick saying they felt unwell and had a temperature because of a vaccine they’d had. They had contacted a healthcare line for advice/to see if they need testing etc.
Would you think they were a bit of a wimp?
What if you then found out that several staff from other teams had been off sick with the same thing?
Would this change your opinion?
(Btw this isn’t about me so there’s no point speculating why I’m asking this)

I would in this modern day and age accept a high temperature as a decent excuse to stay out of work. The fact is with the Chinese weaponized flue I would rather people play the safe course. I don't want anyone coming into work who may be sick and may contaminate others.

No. I wouldn't feel like the employee is a wimp. They can't control their body's reaction to the vaccine.
