weight limit for 1$ stamp ?

as the title says i want to know what the weight limit for a 1$ stamp is i cant seem to find it by looking myself. i would assume its 4 oz seeing a 55cent and 3 15cent stamp cover that much

    Assuming you're in the US, you have the right idea, but starting tomorrow Jan. 24, 2021 the charge for each additional ounce is going back up to 20 cents.  So your $1 stamp will mail a 3 ounce letter. 

    Additionally, a letter stops being classified as a letter at 3.5 ounces.   Once you exceed 3.5 ounces, the letter becomes categorized as a "large envelope" or a "parcel", depending on thickness, dimensions, and weight.  That triggers a different rate structure.  For instance, a 1 ounce large envelope is $1.
