for herpes (type 1) is it possible to show symptoms and other times not show symptoms (asymptomatic)?

yeah its kinda like covid. but i REALLY wish they would stop focusing on covid vaccines and start working on a cure for herpes. covid is a lot more minor than it imo

Yes, you never get rid of the herpes virus, it lays dormant in your nervous system and comes out from triggers. Please use protection and most certainly don't have sex (if its genital herpes) when you have a breakout

Yes that's how the virus works. 

You have a break out, it heals and goes away for a while, then some thing triggers it to come back.
