Why did he talk to me at messenger after 2 years?

Question

I was speaking with a guy for some months and we were also ona date once

But someday i spoke to his best friend and he hitted on me but i was not interested to his friend

So someday i was about to go out on a second date with the first guy but he was with his friend and he asked me:"are you open to suggestion to go out with me and my friend?"

I said no and move on because i thought he was not intersted to me so i did not spoke to him again

Now after 2 years he send me a message and he wanted to speak with me but why??
