a) HCl → H{+} + Cl{-}
b) HBr → H{+} + Br{-}
c) HClO4 → H{+} + ClO4{-}
d) HNO3 → H{+} + NO3{-}
All four of these acids are strong, so the concentration of H{+} ions is the same as the concentration of the acid, so in all four cases the pH is:
- log 0.250 = 0.60
