Lindsey is under pressure from his base who are Trump supporters. He wanted to go with his conscience to say Trump lost the election and an angry mob of Trump supporters started hassling him at the airport. Lindsey flip-flopped and that's why he's advocating for Trump. Not because he personally cares about Trump. He's power-hungry and desperate to hold onto that base.
