Why is it wrong to suggest 2001 in the same decade as 1999, but not 2009 when it’s a FACT that cannot change you idiots?

The 1990s ended on Jan 1 2001

The 2000's ended on Jan 1 2011

Currently the 201* ended on Jan 1 2021.  

2009 is in the 2001 to 2010 end of December. decade.

For years, because the convention is that there is no year 0, a decade normally runs from the beginning of --n1 to the end of --(n+1)0. So the decades would be Jan 1st 1991 to Dec 31st 2000.  Jan 1st 2001 to Dec31st 2010.

So.  the FACT is that the entire year of 2001 was in the same decade as 2009 (and indeed 2010)   and it was not in the same decade as 1999 (which finished Dec 31st 2000)
