When do you think COVID-19 disappears from the world?

How do you think?

  • Covid-19 will always be with us.  In time, we will have gained sufficient immunity from vaccination or suffering from it, that it will no longer be a major problem.  The "Spanish" flu of 1918/19 killed tens of millions of people worldwide, but is now just one of the elements in seasonal and is included in the yearly flu vaccine.  Covid will probably go the same way.

    Exceedingly unlikely.

Viruses which mutate as often as CV-19 appears to do so remain forever.

But over time the treatments and preventative measures will improve and the numbers of people who have natural immunity will increase due to natural selection.

It’s not. I don’t think there’s enough people who will get the vaccine to get herd immunity which then eliminates covid forever.

We don’t know how long the vaccine is good for. Pfizer and moderna thinks it’ll provide at least a year.
