Was Dictator Donald the first “President” in US history to not do a peaceful transfer of power?

Anonymous: The transfer was not peaceful. Did you forget about the Capitol riot.

Update 2:

TheLeftIsGreat: While he was not a true dictator like a Hitler or Stalin, the fact is he was a strongman tyrant with dictator-like sentiments.

1.) Trying to overturn a democratic election. And even resorted to a violent insurrection. Also considered using martial law and cancelling the elections, as suggested by Michael Flynn. Dictators often do this throughout the world.

2.) Wanted to send the US military into US cities to squash protests (he was rejected by the Defense Department).

Update 3:

3.) Likes ostentatious military parades in his honor, which is common in North Korea and the old Soviet Union.

Update 4:

4.) Did more federal executions in the last year months than anytime in the previous 30 years.

Update 5:

JesusChristMan: Did you not pay attention to him trying to delegitimize and overturn the election over the past 2 months, dummy?

no, as childish and rude and unpatriotic as it is,  the nicest thing you can say about Trump,  is that he was NOT the first to do  this .

But he was certainly the first in the MODERN era.

You would have to go back to the Thomas Jefferson and John Quincy Adams days  to find presidents who refused to attend the inauguration of their successors.

Not since Lincoln built the Capitol,  has a president refused to attend the ceremony.

You don't have the FIRST damn clue what constitutes a "Dictator"!!

Trump was the second president to run out on the transfer itself. Jefferson had a way of making enemies. Also, Eisenhower was churlish enough not to leave the limousine to escort Truman to it. However, Trump took bad manners to a new level.
