Another capacitance formula: C = Aε / d

and if only air is between the plates, ε = ε₀ = 8.85e-12 C²/N·m²

5440e-12 F = 6.4e-3m² * 8.85e-12 C²/N·m² / d

solves to d = 1.0e-5 m, or 10 µm
