Do we not give 1099s to health insurance companies like BCBS?

Are they not taxable?

    You don't give them to corporations.

    1099s are not required to be issued to corporations.  Insurance companies are corporations.

    You give 1099s to people who aren't employees you pay for work performed.

    Not to companies that you buy products from.

    BCBS doesn't get a 1099 just like Staples & Costco don't get 1099s.

    What is "they"?

    I have no clue what you're trying to ask, but if it's about you deducting medical insurance premiums as a business expense, you don't 1099 corporations.
