Being the kid of a respected actor might open some doors initially, but the quality of the work you do gets you better and better roles, which is what the younger Gleeson's career is doing.

It helps. But you don't get hired twice unless you have serious chops. Will Smith could not get Jaden over and the Smiths are about as successful as actors get.

Seeing as I know who Domhnall is from several films but have no idea who Brendan is, I say no. Now, maybe I'd know Brendan if I saw him, but I don't know him by name. I know who Domhnall is by name.
