Are trial size mascaras better than full size?

I dont get made up very often,  so my mascaras don't get much use. Would it be better to get travel size ones on Amazon? My favorite one is discontinued and is only available there. I have others that I like, but not as much. Are the full size ones more expensive than the trial size? Trying to decide which size mascaras to replace the ones I threw out.

I prefer them. I love the clinique trial sized mascara that comes with each 'gift'. I run out before it is full of eyelashes and clumps.

Once mascara is opened and used it should be thrown out in three months time.  It is Easy for bacteria to grow. 

So if you don’t wear make much going with a trail size might be best for you. 

I would think that most mascara do not come in a trial size unless it is a special promotion.

If a trial or travel size is available I would think it would be cheaper than a full size.
