My mother has Coronavirus. My Dad tested negative but had been sleeping with her each night until she knew. How is this possible ?

I work with my Dad and was in the car with him all day Saturday going to a funeral before we knew about my mother. Will I therefore catch it? I have an appointment to be tested tomorrow. 

Update:

The funeral (for a cousin of my late grandfather) was outdoor but I notified the family in case we were infected. It was a burial and a reception at the park there so not a typical funeral.

My husband and I have the same situation.  He tested positive.  I'm negative.  Maybe it's a question of immune systems.

Maybe he was sick before your mother, and therefor have antibodies now.
