When women have long hair but when it's tied, they'll have short bits of hair on either side of their faces, is this...?
a center parted fringe that reaches chin length with long hair or are those shorter pieces of hair on either side of the face from the feathered face framing that some women request?
I personally want to keep my hair long but when I tie it, I want to have a centre parted fringe that goes just a little longer than my chin. I'm not sure if this achieved best by cutting an actual center parted fringe or face framing feathered hair at the front.

I have those "side pieces" growing from the temple area, not the top or front. But I see it from those areas on other people and it sometimes works just fine.
Mostly it depends on your hairline.
