I invented the word 'Kaffled'.  It does not come from Coffle.

I wanted a word to describe the state that steel cables get into when they are seriously intertwined, entangled, particularly in relation to sectional overhead doors. So I invented the word Kaffled.  When I was asked what it meant, I told them, and it then became part of our usage when discussing damaged doors.Bob68T
