as a general rule, to be moderate is the best way.. if you go to extremes, you often get into trouble.. to answer your question, the answer is generally a 'no'; there are some few exception - for example some children cannot tolerate soy milk and they would get abdominal discomfort and diarrhoea and such but it is not common..
soy milk does contain isoflavones (a type of plant Oestrogen (phytoestrogen)) that is similar in function to human Oestrogen (Estrogen in American spelling) but with much weaker effects.. and because of this, some nutritionists would advise men not to consume too much soy milk..
soy isoflavones can also bind to Oestrogen receptors in the body and cause either weak oestrogenic or anti-oestrogenic activity.. and because of this, the word cancer is often floated in the debate HOWEVER there are no exclusive connections between cancers in women with over consumption of soy milk..
`
`
soy products are part of many Asian diet, and they are not yet linked to cancers in women nor infertility in men - there are some circumstantial evidence to those suspicions but correlation does not equal causation.. but like i said, some children may have tummy ache or diarrhoea if they consume too much soy milk.. `

soy milk is considered safe as long they are taken in moderate amounts.. AFAIK..

Much better than animal milk though.

It's not the greatest thing we can consume. Soy, it turned out, contains estrogen-like compounds called isoflavones. And some findings suggested that these compounds could promote the growth of some cancer cells, impair female fertility, and mess with thyroid function.

It contains oestrogen-related compounds that can lead to health problems. It contains omega 3 compounds which are good for you. It is a useful milk substitute for people who are lactose-intolerant. Like any other food, it is good for you in moderation and bad for you in excess.
