Within a few years after that AFC Championship Game, both teams had Hall of Fame quarterbacks that retired. For the Kansas City Chiefs, it was the great Joe Montana. For the Buffalo Bills, it was Jim Kelly. It took both teams a while to find a franchise quarterback. The Chiefs finally have theirs in Patrick Mahomes, while the Bills have theirs with Josh Allen.
