Which cartoon short film do you think is better and why?

IMO: Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies.

Looney Tunes has a lot more variety in style and content, whereas Tom and Jerry is mostly just the same basic idea forever, cat chasing mouse. And while I do like the deviations in style on Tom and Jerry like when they're animated by Chuck Jones, Looney Tunes has a lot more styles and characters so they're not confined by the limitations that Tom and Jerry are.
