Since the numbers on front of Dodger uniforms are red, why aren’t the numbers on front of Royal uniforms red too?

The reason I’m asking this is both teams are Blue.  However, numbers on front of Dodger uniforms are red and on Royal uniforms it’s blue.

The Dodgers have been around a lot longer than the Royals.  If the Royals, who by the way have also had white and gold numbers on their uniforms, used red, maybe they get accused of just copying the Dodgers uniforms.
