Does amount of time affect COVID social distancing ?
Like if you quickly walk right by someone, do you still
need to be ~6 feet away?

It does, but not enough to not be distancing. Grocery shopping is difficult.

You are describing "casual contact".
Almost all covid transmission occurs between "close contacts". Within 6ft of someone for 15minutes during a 24hour period (adds up to 15minutes).
Dr. Dean Blumberg, Director of Infectious Disease at UC Davis medical school = story on 10 myths of covid.
- we don't get it at the grocery story = quickly walking by someone does not generate the type of viral load we need to create a covid infection
(I paraphrased his info)
