Here is an old map of Cold War Nuclear Targets? Is it outdated? Do you have a current one?

Yeah, that one still looks good, but there should be more red dots in middle upper left and lower center.

PRE-Jimmy Carter. Counter Value. We aimed at cities, at targets of great value. It is part of MAD and is a retaliation type behavior. Jimmy felt shooting at civilians was immoral so he had us re-target our weapons to a counter Force method. We aimed at military targets. This scared the Russians big time because that is what you do when you are planning a first strike. Some feel that the reason the Russians were so willing to do SALT and START with Ronald Reagan is because Jimmy scared the beegees out of them. Anyway, who knows what everyone is aiming at, if we have a major exchange we will have a nuclear winter and most of us will die from lack of food.

That map was NEVER accurate.
NO nuclear power will EVER release an accurate target map.
