unknown blood clot?

i had a smaller, golf ball sized lump on my lower left leg that i noticed the other day. i have always had small lumps on my lower legs on and off my whole life. today i got a deep tissue massage and i did not even think about avoiding my leg as i do not get them often. i am now experiencing leg cramps and small chest pain and the lump is gone. any thought on why i am experiencing this?
