Ear infection and arm pain?

Question

I had an inner and outer ear infection on my right ear and was given ear drops and amoxicillin. I also had pain swallowing for a day or two. I finished my treatment and my ear/throat seem fine now but I'm now having shoulder/arm pain on the same side. Is this normal? I noticed a bit of arm and shoulder pain at the beginning of the infection but it went away. Now I'm confused on why it would come back since my infection seems to have cleared up.

My brother had an arm infection and ear pain.  He took antibiotics and a painkiller.  Unfortunately, his arm needed to be amputated.

Not connected, sounds as if you have strained your arm and shoulder. Think back, did you do any lifting?
