I am trying to phone into London and it's not going through I need some help please?

So I am trying to call someone in London from the US and I know I'm dialing the correct numbers I'm dialing 011 44 1 681 xxxx and it's not going through. What am I doing wrong?

Wrong number: the correct way to write a London number is 020 7xxx-xxxx or 020 8xxx-xxxx so you should be dialling 011 44 20 7 or 8 681 xxx
