    Certainly uncommon.

Most types of cancer are rare at that age but this varies with the type of cancer.

Approximately 80% of cancers occur in people over the age of 50.

Cancer isn't rare in any age group.

Rare-ish. The cancers you see in people in their 20's and 30's typically had family members who also got it that young, but that's not always a rule. Someone could have worked in construction around a lot of toxins from 18 to 38 and get diagnosed with something, but yeah, rare. You see most cancers in people who are in their late 40's and up.
