What makes YouTube Social media?

Can anyone tell me what’s social about making and watching videos since YouTube isn’t Skype where you’re video chatting with other people therefore it’s just media.

I don't think YT is social media because there is no interaction, like a conversation.

Sure, among the tons of BS, there are lots of misplaced points of views, as well as a lot of really great videos, but there's no interaction.

Indeed, YouTube is viewed as a web-based media stage. The advantages of keeping a YouTube web-based media presence remember a conceivably immense crowd for organizations for a strict spending plan, and the capacity to "tag" watchwords to recordings with the goal that you will have a decent possibility of being seen when your terms are looked.

Look up the dictionary definition of "Social Media"

= websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking.

Youtube =  any one can CREATE Content and post it.  That makes YT Social.
