Doctors appointment?

Hi, I had an MRI scan recently on my hip and now have a letter stating I have a "Formal" telephone appointment coming up, is "Formal" code for "you have something to worry about because this is serious" or is it just normal NHS lingo?

Normal lingo, it just means you have an appointment by phone.

a phone call dont mean its serious, ive had phone calls too after getting those type of tests

Andy C, I don't want to duck it I am wondering why they have emphasised the word formal in the letter, it just seems to be a more serious wording?

It means that you have an actual appointment and not something you can duck.
