What would society be like if everyone read at least 2 books a month?

Society would be completely different. Those over 50 have read hundreds of books in their lifetime. Many over1000 books. Those under 40 don't read. They don't write and I doubt they can ever do simple arithmetic. Politicians and those in charge, who used to be our servants, have succeeded in their goal to destroy public and become rulers of stupid citizens.

Nobody has time to read 2 books a month. Read for enjoyment, not for speed. Speed reading does not make a person any better than someone who reads content they enjoy at their own pace.

No different. Books come in all varieties and appeal to people reflecting their individual values. Their values are not going to change as a result of reading.
