Hundreds. Look up historical novels in Good Reads.

GypsyFish - why would someone looking for novels set in the 16th century look at Georgette Heyer's work, in view of the fact that she is best known for Regency Romance?

Yes. There's quite a selection of historical romance novels, set in many different periods of time. Try looking at the works of Georgette Heyer.
