My manager purposely doesn't train people well. Do you know why he would be doing that?
He seems to not want to share his knowledge with anyone and then only he knows how to solve certain problems. Would you know of a reason for that?

Maybe he doesn't want work work his way out of a job by training someone who might end up doing the job better than he can. Whatever the reason, he doesn't sound like the kind of person I'd want to work for.

He's afraid of being usurped. Either that or he's inept at training.

I was under a clumsy manager who had no clue what I was supposed to be doing. He even accused me of screwing up in someone else's dept. Anyway, I remained on the job for years after he left.
