Colorist is the proper category, and it depends. 

Usually, some people view lighter skin to be better because of it resemblance to white skin. 

It’s your right to have a preference but let’s hope it’s for the ethical reasons. 

Ex: I like dark skinned people more than light skinned people because I favor exotic features from Africa.

I mean, as long as u dont make a huge deal about it, and just think this privately (everyone has their own opinions y'know, and thats fine!) then nope! But... if u TELL ppl this, or say it in like a way that you know will or could upset somebody... then yes, i think so.
