Plus, the number of COVID-19 cases are continuing to rise in that area

they are insane . it’s pointless to even have the option of outdoor dining In weather below 50 unless it’s enclosed and has a heater but then that doesn’t count as outdoor

Where I live..........restaurants are either closed or have outside dining only. They also supply tents and warming devices so you don't have to eat in the cold.

Because they get around the Covid-19 restrictions. It's safer outdoors as there is a breeze.

I do not know, crazy way too cold! They should just do take out/carry out, that is what the restaurants here in PA are doing, if no drive thru, they have it that you call and order, when you arrive the come out for your payment, and give you the food!

It makes the government look less tyrannical, since they allow the restaurants to open. They can blame the weather for the problems.
Then they allow the restaurants to put up tents so that the dining is effectively indoors but less comfortable. This makes the government look as if it is doing something to stop contagion. Then they can blame the restaurants and customers if people get sick.

Outdoor dining includes things like heated tents. If it's not windy it's actually not that bad eating outside in the winter with a good jacket on.
