People who answered already don't understand what subscription downloads are. Yes, canceling your subscription will remove your downloaded songs.

Download is to copy, usually from a server up in the network hierarchy system. Once the file is in your computer, the server has nothing to do with it anymore. 

Technically, the service, youtube, can't get it back from you. The only way for them to force you to remove your downloaded file is through lawful means, with lawyers and a judge. That is if there was something illegal in the download process or content. 

Since you were a valid subscriber, you won't be going that far. The downloaded file is yours to keep since you paid for it during the time of your subscription.

you can't "un-download" something...it will still be downloaded. you just won't be able to download any MORE stuff.

I would imagine that if they're on your hard drive they are safe.  I'd move them to a new folder just to make sure YouTube doesn't try to delete them.
