Wore a mask 12 hr shift ?

Yesterday and today I wore a mask on a covid floor because I’m a telemetry tech my shifts are 12 hours I wear the mask except for when out on lunch. Today my voice is gone I am congested have no taste. Can this be from the mask for so long ?

You should replace the mask every couple of hours and wash the masks daily if they aren’t disposable. You probably got an infection from wearing a mask that your breath made wet and bacteria or mold started to grow on it. Some molds grow very quickly.
