are there any z490 motherboards that don't restrict i5 cpus to 2666mhz?

    I've seen a lot of 1/5 star reviews on Memory kits because the user didn't go into the BIOS and set the memory speed. 

    z490 motherboards are unlocked which means you can manually adjust the CPU and Memory clock speeds. If you don't set the memory speeds then they will run at default speeds like 2666mhz or 2133mhz. 

    All z490 boards are unlocked, so you won't be confined to running the RAM at 2666mhz.

    i think you are mistaken ... 2666 mhz is a memory specification, not a cpu spec
