It depends on the breed, but the dog with the strongest sense of smell is a bloodhound.

There are about 5 million scent receptors in the human nose, while a dog's nose on average contains 200 million scent receptors, hence why they have a much stronger sense of smell than people. That's why something which smells nice to a person will smell incredible to a dog.

700 to 1,000 depending on the dogs nose.  Same with their hearing.

Depend on how much menthol you shove up your nose.

Well dog's have about 300 million more receptors in their noses. Humans have about 6 million. But the part of the brain that reads that information is much bigger than ours. Predators do have a better sense of smell than most pray animals who tend to have better all round vision. If you look at a lot of pray animals they have eyes on the sides of their heads and actually see two different pictures. Theirs brains can analyze much faster what they see. So their left eyes sees the tree on their left. There right eye sees everything on the right and pretty much anything behind them. We have eyes close together so we just see once picture.

Scientists guess the dog's sense of smell is somewhere between 10,000 to 100,000 times more acute than ours. One of the reasons a dog has such better smelling ability than us is the number of scent receptors. For every scent receptor a human has, a dog has about 50.
