Why can’t I do anything?

I’m typically a very motivated, independent person. I like to do things for myself in a very particular way, but sometimes I can’t do anything. I know I have to do something. I tell myself “if I just do it, it’ll be better.” But I feel so paralyzed in these situations. I physically cannot make myself get up and do things. Why? It makes me feel so lazy and so disgusting that I can’t do simple tasks like pick my blanket up off the floor or grab a water for myself.

  • because you don't apply yourself, if you were motivated as you said, you would get jobs done.

Start out slow and simple. Work your way to doing more and more. Be kind to yourself as you move forward.
