Are there any FERPA violations in the book Just Another Kid?

I enjoyed reading the book Just Another Kid. I kept questioning if there were somethings that was acceptable in education during the 80's that is not acceptable now due to FERPA.

I don't know, I haven't read the book, and you should have (and should have taken notes). However, FERPA was enacted in 1974, so the 80s should have been covered by FERPA regulations.

I don't know what you mean. Is there something that happens in the book that you don't think would happen now?
