The Cavern. There is still a Cavern club but Paul McCartney reckons it used to be on the opposite side of Matthew Street, so the Cavern there now isn't the same one.

    Tranmere Rovers.

No seriously it was the 'Casbah Coffee Club' in West Derby Liverpool.

Owned by the legendary Mona Best.

You can still go and visit it now, it is like a shrine/museum you can see where John Lennon scrawled his name.

It only held 200 people like sardines but this is the place where it all started.

    Maybe Everton.

  •  They performed at a local venue called The Cavern Club.

Its the Cavern. I was refused entry because i was wearing my Leeds scarfe

  • Well, the Cavern, if McCartney says it was located elsewhere before the current building, then he should well know and you'd be an idiot to dispute that fact. (possibly a religious believer, same thing)

  • ahh dammit beat me to it,  yeah the Cavern, not really a football question, but i think i get why it got posted here  lol..
