CAR POOLING of COURSE! You do NOT have to spend on INSURANCE or the GAS either!

I would save fuel because I drive a 4-cylinder standard vehicle ( no a/c ) that is tuned up every two months and doesn't waste much fuel.

Drive efficiently. There are cars that get 65 miles to a gallon. That's better than a car that is occupied by six & gets 17 miles to a gallon.

1) working from Home. Write it in.
2) Bicycle or walking
3) bus,. Write it in
.4) carpool And driving efficiently. 26 mpg becomes 52
.5) carpooling
6) driving efficiently, alone
7) driving alone
EDIT: Some motorcycles will save even over a car pool. Any SAFE for a freeway wont. My 150 cc Scooter develops 15 Hp, gets 70 MPG BUT is unsafe over 40 MPH.

Both people working from home would save the most fuel as now two vehicles are unused.

Correct answer: A small motorcycle, doing 35 to 40 mph. Will use about a quart of gasoline, each way.

Tell your teacher to give you better homework problems.
The question specifically says the person is traveling ALONE to work, then gives carpooling as an option.
If they're carpooling, then they are no longer traveling alone, since "carpool" by definition is when 2 or more people ride together in one vehicle.
Also driving efficiently is not mutually exclusive option from carpooling. You can arrange a carpool with 2 or more people sharing a ride AND save even more fuel by driving efficiently.
So this really is a dumb question, but if you can't figure out which answer your teacher wants you to give, then you're just as dumb as the person who wrote the question.

a) This isn't the Homework Help forum, that's in the Education category.
b) If you can't figure it out, you're truly retarded. Car-pooling saves half of two people driving independently. Do you really think that driving economically could save that much? FAIL
