I would ask your psychiatrist to adjust your medication.

Even if no one had lived next door to you for months, the police would not tell you that, because they wouldn't know.

At most, they would tell you no one was there when they checked.

That is very posable today. People see a empty house & they just move in rent free. Some do have mental problems.  I can think of a house here in town were people did such. Came winter they had a wood scrap fire in the basement for heat. Burnt the house down above them.
